A Good Samaritan's new car is a crumpled mess thanks to her good deed. The weird chain of events in Marin County, California: Police say two men stole a Honda about 10:30pm Monday night, reports NBC Bay Area. They soon crashed, and a driver of a Toyota came upon the scene and stopped to see if she could help. One man fled, but police say the other jumped into the Good Samaritan's car and drove away, reports the Marin Independent Journal.

He then led police on a high-speed chase that ended when he, yes, crashed the newly stolen Toyota. A police dog eventually found him hiding nearby. Isias Estuardo-Rodas, 20, is behind bars on multiple charges. The Good Samaritan had bought her Solara just three weeks ago—it still had the paper dealership plates. (More weird crimes stories.)
