Prince Charles got his wish: The palace has announced that Prince William and wife Kate have welcomed a baby girl. Earlier, the palace confirmed Kate had entered the Lindo wing at St. Mary's Hospital at 6am local time today with William by her side; that's the same hospital where she gave birth to Prince George in 2013. "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am," reads the official Kensington Palace Twitter feed. "The baby weighs 8lbs 3oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. ... Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well." The new little girl is fourth in line to the British throne after Prince Charles, Prince William, and her big brother; her arrival bumps Prince Harry to No. 5. (More British royals stories.)
