Sanders-Loving 'Bernie Baby' Dies From SIDS
Oliver Lomas-Davis, better known as the "Bernie Baby," died last week from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.   (Facebook)

An infant who became an "instant sensation" in recent weeks after his mother dressed him up as Bernie Sanders died from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome last Thursday, according to an online obituary. Today reports Oliver Lomas-Davis' mother put a gray wig, tie, and glasses on him, dubbed him the "Bernie Baby," and took him to a Sanders rally in Las Vegas, where he got a picture with the candidate himself. Photos of the Bernie Baby went viral, with his obituary calling him "an adorable infant who brought smiles to not only his family, but to millions online."

Oliver was 4 months old when he died on Feb. 25. "I love you dearly, I love you most," his mother Souxsie Lomas posted on Facebook. "I love you with all my heart and soul. I know that God will keep you near since God and truth are here." A GoFundMe page has raised more than $17,000 for Oliver's funeral and counseling for his family. A wake and funeral will be held in Los Angeles next week. (More Sudden Infant Death Syndrome stories.)
