Since she was a child, Christine Peters had dreamed of going on a hot air balloon ride. Her dream finally came true on Saturday, reports ABC News, but if a wedding proposal didn't make the adventure memorable enough, the subsequent crash likely did. Peters had just gotten engaged to her boyfriend, Stephen Martin, during a Sundance Balloons tour over Edmonton, Alberta, when a suspected downdraft forced the balloon first into some trees and then a farmer's field, per News.com.au and CTV News. As none of the dozen or so passengers were injured in the crash, caught on video, "it makes for an awesome story," says Martin. (More hot air balloon stories.)
