Last week's summit between the leaders of North and South Korea generated lots of chatter about a Nobel Peace Prize for the main players involved. On Monday, South Korean President Moon Jae-in made clear who he thinks should get it: "It's President Trump who should receive the Nobel Prize," he was quoted as saying, per NPR. Moon made the comment during a Cabinet meeting, in response to a congratulatory letter from the wife of the late South Korean leader Kim Dae-jung.
In the letter, Lee Hee-ho told Moon that his "great work" deserved a Nobel, the same honor her husband received after organizing the first Korean summit back in 2000, notes the Korea Times. Over the weekend, Trump supporters at a rally in Michigan chanted "Nobel! Nobel! Nobel!" as the president talked about the developments. "That's very nice, thank you," he replied.
