What political moratorium? Kanye West's New Year's Day tweets were decidedly politically flavored, beginning with "Trump all day," and continuing, "Just so in 2019 you know where I stand." He tweeted a series of dragon emojis, which USA Today sees as hearkening back to an April tweet in which the rapper said he and Trump share "dragon energy." Some of what followed:

  • "They will not program me" (here)
  • "Blacks are 90% Democrats That sounds like control to me" (here)
  • "We will change the world. God is on my side. I am a Christian. I am a tax payer. I am myself. God is with us." (here)
  • "Free thought" (here)
  • "2024" (here)
  • "From now on I’m performing with my mutherf---ing hat on [then more dragon emojis] (here)
  • "One of my favorite of many things about what the Trump hat represents to me is that people can’t tell me what to do because I’m black" (here)
In other Kanye-related news, Us Weekly's sources say he and Kim Kardashian are expecting baby number four via a surrogate. Per its scoop, the child is a boy due in early May. (More Kanye West stories.)
