David's Bridal is debuting a new TV ad that the company hopes will show "we value every type of bride." That's per Liz Crystal, David's Bridal's chief marketing officer, who details for Ad Age how the company is "rewriting the rules" with its new 30-second spot, its first with a same-sex couple. Also shown in the ad are a couple walking down the aisle with a young child, as well as an interracial couple.

"We wanted to make sure this spot represented what we see from brides today," Crystal says of the ad, which will be shown on television and social media. Per Insider, this campaign's focus on "non-traditional" brides, which comes just a couple of months after the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, is already getting the thumbs-up on social media. "You'll love #DavidsBridal for this!" the Advocate tweeted. (More LGBT stories.)
