A week after moving to Tijuana, the JetBlue flight attendant who infamously deplaned in 2010 by taking an emergency slide after being cursed by a passenger has gone missing. Friends told police they haven't been able to reach Steven Slater since Sunday, TMZ reports, when Slater had posted on Facebook that he was visiting a nearby monument. California police reportedly have contacted their Mexican counterparts.

Slater had been sentenced to a year's probation after his meltdown at New York's JFK Airport. He received substance abuse treatment and counseling. Slater said he was going to write a book, but that doesn't seem to have happened. (He was brought to mind in 2016 when a female flight attendant did something similar in Houston.)
