Cops: Armed Woman Demanded Puppy, Then Pulled the Trigger
Lobo the puppy.   (Prince George's County Police Department)

A puppy is back with its owner after, police say, a woman with face tattoos stole the pup at gunpoint near Washington, DC. The owner was walking little Lobo in Landover, Md., around 1:40pm Monday when a car stopped a short distance away. A woman with a gun then exited the vehicle and demanded the dog, prompting a struggle, reports the Washington Post. The woman actually pulled the trigger multiple times but the gun didn't go off, police say, per WJZ. A man joined the woman before she grabbed the dog, the victim told cops. Both then reportedly fled in a gray Ford Crown Victoria with a black hood and Virginia tags. The AP reports someone later spotted Lobo alone in DC and contacted authorities, who got the puppy back to its owners. The robbery is still under investigation. (More puppy stories.)
