Accused kidnapper Clark Rockefeller is a German national wanted for questioning in a Los Angeles double-murder case, California authorities said today. The statement marked the first by officials that German Christian Gerhartsreiter used the Rockefeller name in Boston and Christopher Chichester when living with a couple that later disappeared in San Marino, Calif., the Boston Herald reports.

Gerhartsreiter lived in the couple's guest house nearly 25 years ago, reports the Los Angeles Times. The pair vanished shortly after he moved out. Nine years later, bags of human bones were dug up on the property but never identified. (More Clark Rockefeller stories.)
