The Baltimore office of ACORN has fired two staff members who were caught on tape giving advice to a man and a woman posing as a prostitute and a pimp, the Baltimore Sun reports. The video shows the staffers explaining how to evade tax laws, set up a brothel, and conceal underage girls brought in illegally from El Salvador. “If they don’t have Social Security numbers, you don’t have to worry about them,” one advises.

An official with the community organizing group's Maryland operation says he questions the authenticity of the video, but the staffers were fired because their apparent handling of the situation “did not meet ACORN’s standards of professionalism.” He says the video was part of a “coordinated campaign” by Fox News to harm ACORN. “Our work historically speaks for itself,” he added, “fighting for working-class families across the country and in Baltimore.” (More Acorn stories.)
