Cops Hunt Tween Girl Bank Robbers

Police are seeking two girls believed to be aged just 12 and 14 who robbed a Cincinnati-area bank and made their getaway on foot, presumably because they're too young to drive. The pair escaped with an undisclosed amount of money after handing a teller a note demanding cash, and escaped despite police helicopters overhead and a canine team on the ground, reports ABC News.

Police say the girls, one of whom was captured on poor-quality security camera footage, implied they would harm bank workers, but didn't appear to be carrying \weapons. There were no customers present at the time of the heist. Some 1,900 females younger than 18 were arrested for robbery in 2008, according to FBI statistics, a 38% rise from a decade ago.
