At Least RNC Got Good Bang for Bondage Bucks

Though the Republican National Committee is taking heat for the $1,946 a staffer spent at a West Hollywood sex club, the RNC looks to have earned it back in spades from donations—to the tune of more than $5,000 into the party coffers for every dollar spent at Voyeur. That’s according to an analysis by Tim Mak—who notes that the Democratic National Committee banked just $761 per dollar spent during a December event at a (under reported) racy Washington venue.

The bucks aren’t necessarily directly related, Mak cautions on FrumForum, explaining that he could only count what each committee raised in the month of each event. Still, the GOP comes out looking better. "If the Republicans and Democrats are both going to embarrass their donors with these sorts of expenses, at least the GOP is more fiscally responsible about it," he notes.
