New Yorkers got a fresh scare last night when a truck was discovered abandoned next to the Robert F. Kennedy bridge. The bridge was closed and bomb squads rushed to the scene after being told that the driver had fled and the smell of gasoline was coming from the vehicle. The truck was X-rayed and cut open, but nothing suspicious was found, AP reports. Police are trying to locate the driver.
