He's ignored the general, Hillary, and all forms of international condemnation. Now can Florida's loopy Koran-hating pastor withstand Sarah Palin? She's entered the fray with a Facebook post headlined "Koran Burning Is Insensitive, Unnecessary; Pastor Jones, Please Stand Down." Palin writes that she hopes "Terry Jones and his supporters will consider the ramifications of their planned book-burning event. It will feed the fire of caustic rhetoric and appear as nothing more than mean-spirited religious intolerance."

Earlier today, Jones said the Koran burning on 9/11 was still a go, though he qualified it with an "as of now." This evening, the FBI weighed in with a warning that the spectacle might prompt a retaliatory attack by Islamic extremists, reports ABC News. Just give it up, says Palin: "Book burning is antithetical to American ideals. People have a constitutional right to burn a Koran if they want to, but doing so is insensitive and an unnecessary provocation—much like building a mosque at Ground Zero."
