Reality shows are good for something: Namely, helping a 14-year-old boy survive while stranded in sub-zero temperatures on an Oregon mountain. Jake Denham, who lost a ski on Mount Bachelor on New Year’s Eve, followed ski trails down the mountain and built a snow cave when it got dark. He says he learned those tricks by watching Man vs. Wild and Survivor Man: “I love those shows.” He was found nine hours later, at midnight, ABC News reports.
