Want Super Bowl Tickets? Cough Up $5K

Tickets to Sunday’s big game are reselling for an average of $4,683, nearly twice the average $2,420 that last year’s Colts-Saints match-up commanded. Don’t expect to get your hands on tickets for less than $2,309 online: those are the cheapest that Fansnap.com could find. The surge in prices is likely due to the huge popularity of the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers, Bloomberg reports, who were ranked the third- and fourth- most popular teams in 2010.
