Daniel Hernandez, the intern to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords credited with saving her life on the day of her shooting, says he's talked to the Arizona representative by phone and that Giffords is making good progress, reports ABC News. "It's great hearing her voice," said Hernandez. While he declined to describe what they talked about, he added, "Pretty soon you will be able to ask her yourself because she's just doing extremely well and recovering very quickly."

Giffords' husband, astronaut Mark Kelly, says that Giffords continues to make progress in walking and talking, and she is still slated to attend his launch of the space shuttle Endeavour later in April. (More Gabrielle Giffords stories.)
