Even Rush Limbaugh had some good words for President Obama after the killing of Osama bin Laden, although the conservative pundit's praise had more than just a hint of sarcasm. "Thank God for President Obama," Limbaugh said. The military had wanted to bomb the compound, but "President Obama, perhaps the only qualified member in the room to deal with this, insisted on the Special Forces. No one else thought of that," he said. "Not a single intelligence adviser, not a single national security adviser, not a single military adviser came up with the idea of using SEAL Team 6 or any Special Forces."

"According to news reports, not one member of the military—not Gen. Petraeus, nobody in the intel community, nobody had the slightest idea of going in there and using special forces," belabored Limbaugh, who corrected himself multiple times after referring to Osama as Obama and broke into laughter later in the show while reading aloud from a publication that took his earlier comments literally. Limbaugh sounded more sincere when he said he was “as proud of the US military as I have been in a long time," ABC News notes. (More Rush Limbaugh stories.)
