A Cathay Pacific flight managed a safe emergency landing in Singapore today after one of its engines burst into flames. No one was injured. The Airbus A330-300 took off from Singapore for a flight to Jakarta, but quickly turned around when the problem developed. Firefighters extinguished the flames and normal operations resumed on the runway. Officials of Hong Kong's largest airline offered no other details, reports AP. (More Cathay Pacific stories.)
