Rush Limbaugh's not the only one who can call people names: Don Imus expressed his, shall we say, disappointment with the conservative radio host today, calling Limbaugh's Sandra Fluke apology "lame," particularly because it was not given in person. On Fox Business Network's Imus In the Morning, Imus also called Limbaugh "a fat, gutless, pill-popping loser." (Ironically, Imus' radio career has never really been the same after the 2007 scandal in which he called Rutgers women’s basketball players "nappy-headed hos," and the Washington Post today wonders if Limbaugh is having his "Don Imus Moment.")

On today's show, Imus said that such a "sustained, vile, personal attack" against the birth control advocate required an in-person apology, not one posted on a website. "It’s the worst kind of cowardice," he said. "Maybe he’s still jacked up on the Oxycontin, or whatever it is, but you can’t say stuff about somebody and not, one, own up to it, and, two, have guts enough to go sit down with her and say, 'Look, I’m sorry and I won’t do this again.' But no, he’s a punk." Hat tip to Mediaite for the video. (More Don Imus stories.)
