Another rich-guy sports fumble for Mitt Romney: Weeks after taking flak for mentioning his "great friends who are NASCAR team owners," the candidate brought up his friendships with NFL team owners in response to a question about the Peyton Manning free agent sweepstakes, reports the Huffington Post. "I don’t want him in our neck of the woods, to Miami or to the Jets," Romney, a Patriots fan, told Alabama radio host Paul Finebaum. "I’ve got a lot of good friends—the owner of the Miami Dolphins and the New York Jets—both owners are friends of mine."

"Let’s keep away from New England so that Tom Brady has a better shot of picking up a championship for us," Romney added. Over at the Hill, Cameron Joseph wonders how that comment will play in today's primaries "in Alabama and Mississippi, two states with high unemployment and poverty rates."
