A 19-year-old drove into a pole, then hurried off with the red-light camera evidence, police say. Manuel Montano Herrera was arrested yesterday after the northern California collision, which resulted in the pole and camera falling into the back his truck, police say, per News10. "The pole ended up flipping over into ... the bed of the vehicle," a paramedic who saw it happen tells CBS Sacramento.

"The vehicle sped off and actually stopped at the next light and turned the corner from there." Herrera drove for two miles before getting out to rearrange the pole and camera, according to reports. At that point, a witness snapped a picture of him, police say. They caught him at a friend's house, and he's been accused of a hit and run and grand theft. His explanation for the early-morning crash: He was late for work. (More strange stuff stories.)
