No. 6 Duke Shoots Past Virginia 86-70

Gerald Henderson scored 19 points to lead No. 6 Duke past Virginia in an 86-70 rout. The win sets up the Blue Devils for a showdown against No. 1 North Carolina on Saturday to determine the ACC regular-season champion. Virginia never seriously threatened after a 10-2 Duke run to open the second half, according to the Associated Press. Elsewhere in men’s basketball:

  • Freshman Eric Gordon had 20 points to pace No. 18 Indiana in a 69-55 beating of Minnesota. The Hoosiers have now won 25 regular-season games for the first time in 15 seasons.
  • The No. 19 Notre Dame Fighting Irish shot 54 percent from the field during their 68-55 victory over St. John’s. Luke Harangody had 20 points in the win.
