What was a one-point game at halftime for Tennessee quickly turned into a blowout in the second half, as the Volunteers outscored South Carolina by 32 after the break for an 89-56 victory, reports The Tennessean. The win was the Vols' 32nd straight at home as they improved to 28-3 heading into the SEC tournament. UT Guard Chris Lofton celebrated Senior Day with 28 points. Elsewhere in the Top 25:

  • Ohio State beat its second ranked opponent in six days, No. 17 Michigan State, to stay in position for a possible spot in the field of 64. A 15-2 run in the last five minutes keyed the victory.
  • David Jackson had 13 points and 10 rebounds as Penn State upset No. 18 Indiana 68-64 at home in overtime.
