Marco Rubio is not having a good week. On Wednesday, the day after slumping to fifth place in the New Hampshire primary, he cracked a molar while eating a Twix bar. "I go, 'Man this Twix bar's got something really hard in it,'" Rubio said during a campaign stop at a Cracker Barrel in South Carolina Thursday, per the Wall Street Journal. "And I go, 'Oh my gosh, I cracked my tooth.'" The 44-year-old, who couldn't eat anything tougher than blueberry pancakes after the incident, said, "I think I'm getting old, man." CNN reports that Rubio said the candy bar was partially frozen, possibly from being on his campaign plane for too long.

Rubio promised that the dental trouble wouldn't slow him down, and his attacks on his rivals Thursday were far from toothless, the New York Times reports. He slammed Jeb Bush for lacking foreign policy experience and for being "missing in action" for the last seven years, and he laid into Donald Trump for using offensive language to describe Ted Cruz. He said his sons, ages 8 and 10, asked him what had been bleeped out in a TV broadcast. "The commentator said it was another word for cat," Rubio said. "My boys wanted to know, 'What was the word? What was the word?' I said, 'I can't tell you.' I had to make something up. And it bothered me." (More Marco Rubio stories.)
