Graphiq has compiled a list of the most diverse counties in the US by calculating the probability that two randomly selected residents will be of different races designated in the US census: white, black, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander. Hispanic Americans weren't included since they’re designed as an ethnic group in the census. The most diverse counties, per Code Black Group:

  1. Aleutians West Census Area, Alaska
  2. Queens County, NY
  3. Maui County, Hawaii
  4. Alameda County, Calif.
  5. Aleutians East Borough, Alaska
  6. Hawaii County, Hawaii
  7. Fort Bend County, Texas
  8. Kauai County, Hawaii
  9. Solano County, Calif.
  10. Honolulu County, Hawaii
