(Newser) – Sarah Sanders announced Wednesday morning that President Trump would be holding an 11:30am press conference, with Trump himself following that up with a tweet specifying that he "will be discussing our success in the Midterms!" But the president isn't waiting until late morning to share his thoughts. In follow-up tweets, he touted his party's success and issued a warning to incoming House Democrats:

  • He first wrote: "To any of the pundits or talking heads that do not give us proper credit for this great Midterm Election, just remember two words - FAKE NEWS!"
  • Then: "If the Democrats think they are going to waste Taxpayer Money investigating us at the House level, then we will likewise be forced to consider investigating them for all of the leaks of Classified Information, and much else, at the Senate level. Two can play that game!"
