The tiff between President Trump and the spouse of one of his closest advisers took a turn for the worse on Tuesday, and things didn't get any better the next day. The Hill reports that on Wednesday morning, Trump continued his criticism of George Conway, the husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, by doubling down on Twitter. "George Conway, often referred to as Mr. Kellyanne Conway by those who know him, is VERY jealous of his wife's success & angry that I, with her help, didn't give him the job he so desperately wanted," Trump tweeted. And then, more insults: "I barely know him but just take a look, a stone cold LOSER & husband from hell!"
Conway quickly responded with his own series of tweets, reupping multiple claims that Trump is a narcissist—"you seem determined to prove my point," he tweeted—and retweeting several older tweets (both his own and others') noting Trump's "pathologies." He also posted a picture of Humphrey Bogart crying. "You. Are. Nuts," Conway retorted. As of this writing, Kellyanne Conway's Twitter feed made no mention of the spat. Meanwhile, for those trying to figure out what's going on in the Conway marriage, Salon speculates the couple's "performative bickering" (Kellyanne told reporters Monday she doesn't agree with her husband's assessment of Trump's mental state) may have an "end game," including a possible TV show.
