In Nevada, it was no contest. Bernie Sanders cruised to an easy win, with the AP and the major networks calling the race as soon as the very first precincts reported. Those results, here via CNN, showed why:

  • Sanders, 46.6%
  • Joe Biden, 19.2%
  • Pete Buttigieg, 15.4%
  • Elizabeth Warren, 10.3%
  • Amy Klobuchar, 4.5%
  • Tom Steyer, 3.8%
  • Tulsi Gabbard, 0.1%

The win for Sanders follows his victory in New Hampshire and his virtual tie in Iowa, thus giving him clear frontrunner bragging rights. Biden, meanwhile, declared himself back in the 2020 race after disappointing results in the earlier states. "We're alive and we're coming back and we're gonna win," he told supporters. Mike Bloomberg was not on the ballot. President Trump weighed in on the race before it was called: "Looks like Crazy Bernie is doing well in the Great State of Nevada," he tweeted. "Biden & the rest look weak, & no way Mini Mike can restart his campaign after the worst debate performance in the history of Presidential Debates. Congratulations Bernie, & don’t let them take it away from you!"
