Author nears deal to offer 22 bestsellers for Kindle, other readers

One of publishing's last major holdouts has decided it's time to kill his opposition to e-books, reports the Wall Street Journal. John Grisham is close to finalizing a deal that would make all of his 22 bestsellers—including new legal thriller The Associate—available for Amazon's Kindle reader and all other e-book formats.

"There was a period when John and I felt it was a good idea to watch the world of e-books evolve before diving in," said Grisham's agent. "Now that it's a more mature marketplace, he will be available very soon in all digital formats."
