(AP Photo/Mary Altaffer, File) Faced with the choice between playing through pain and undergoing an invasive surgery, Alex Rodriguez chose Hidden Option C: an arthroscopic surgical procedure that will put off the major operation until after the baseball season. He'll still be out for 6-8 weeks, but the scandal-plagued slugger prefers that to the 4-month alternative, reports the New York Post. "It was Alex's decision, but the Yankees were there all the way," says Rodriguez's doctor. A-Rod will go under the less invasive knife tomorrow in Colorado, and stay there "for the forseeable future" to rehab, says Brian Cashman. An 8-week recovery would have him back just in time for a home series against the Red Sox. Read These Next Iran's new leader issued a defiant first statement.
