Cougar Climbs Through Pet Door to Eat Dog

A cougar slipped into a pet door in a Colorado home and ate one dog and seriously injured two others. "I walked into the kitchen and saw a big animal chewing on one of my dogs with my son standing nearby," a woman told ABC News. She grabbed boy, 4, and 2-year-old daughter and fled to a bedroom, where authorities helped the family climb through a window. The two injured Shih Tzu dogs are recovering, though both lost an eye. Wildlife officials killed the cougar.
