Pelosi: Dems 'Will Keep Control of the House. Period'

Whatever Robert Gibbs may think, Nancy Pelosi isues a defiant prediction about the midterms: "Here is what will happen in November. Democrats will keep control of the House. Period." Of course, it wouldn't hurt if Democratic supporters opened their wallets, she adds in a fundraising letter. She helpfully reminds them that we're only about 100 days from the elections.

Also today, Pelosi blamed the Senate for contributing to the nation's high unemployment rate and, consequently, the anger Democrats are facing at the polls, notes the Hill. “If we had health care sooner, if we had energy sooner, if we had an education bill sooner—they are all three pillars of job creation—and that would have resulted in more jobs created by now."
