Jay-Z is now a rapper and a sports agent, ESPN reports. Roc Nation, the entertainment company Jay-Z founded, announced today that it is partnering with Creative Artists Agency to create Roc Nation Sports. Its first client: Robinson Cano, the New York Yankees second baseman who is in the final season of his $57 million contract. Sources say Jay-Z plans to actually become a certified agent in baseball, and later in basketball and football. If he becomes a certified basketball agent, he'd have to give up his ownership share of the Brooklyn Nets. (More Robinson Cano stories.)
