The Bulls helped the Pistons drop their fifth game of the last nine, as lackluster Detroit starters and a hot Chicago bench combined for a 97-81 result. Ben Gordon had 33 points and Andres Nocioni 21 for the Bulls, as no one but Chauncey Billups (27 points) really produced for Detroit, the Detroit Free Press reports. Meanwhile, in Texas:

  • Tracy McGrady returned from injury to play 27 minutes for Houston, but it was Yao Ming whose 21 points and 14 boards made the difference in a tight 83-81 victory over San Antonio.
  • Seattle extended its losing streak to 10 games, as even Wally Szczerbiak's 26 points couldn't stave off a 111-96 defeat to Dallas.
