Both Josh Howard and Dwight Howard (no relation) had 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists, but Dallas's bench outscored Orlando's 46-16 to deliver a 107-98 win. Thus ended a two-game skid for Dallas, which rebounded nicely from a 90-67 demolition in Detroit. Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu had a triple-double in the loss.

However, his 4-for-14 shooting night may have offset his 13-assist, 12-rebound performance. Reigning league MVP Dirk Nowitzki also struggled, hitting just 8 of 22 from the floor, but his five assists led the Mavs. Orlando had won four games in a row, and stayed in this one late until a fourth-quarter 10-0 Dallas run.
