Five days ago, Maya Angelou posted her final tweet, and it's as poetic as you might expect. It also, as Mediaite notes, provides a fitting epitaph for a writer who used her own experiences to reach out to others. "Listen to yourself and in that quietude you might hear the voice of God," Angelou wrote. She had some 400,000 Twitter followers, and she often tweeted in recent months, Mediaite reports. Angelou died this morning. In a wide ranging interview a year ago, she laughingly told the Daily Beast she wanted her epitaph to read thusly: "I did my best, I hope you do the same."
