It's only July, but Regina Powell, a 22-year-old woman from Florida, may have already locked down the title for Most Embarrassing Injury of the Year. Powell ended up in the hospital Sunday night after she shot herself in the hand while taking Snapchat video of herself posing with a 40-caliber pistol, the Palm Beach Post reports. Police say Powell told them that she pulled the trigger while "foolishly playing" with her uncle's gun, shattering her phone and injuring the hand that was holding it. She was treated for minor injuries, and police determined that the shooting was accidental. Police say Powell's aunt threw the gun out of the car window while driving her niece to the hospital and it has not been recovered, WKMG reports.
