The incomparable Leslie Jones will not be returning for the 45th season of Saturday Night Live. The comedian, writer, and Ghostbuster is leaving the show after five seasons to concentrate on her Hollywood career, which includes several film projects and a reboot of Supermarket Sweep, EW reports. Sources tell Variety that Jones, who is currently filming Coming to America sequel Coming 2 America, also has an upcoming Netflix comedy special. Jones, renowned for her impersonations and Weekend Update segments, became the oldest cast member to join the show when she was promoted to the main cast in 2014, when she was 47. She was nominated for the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series Emmy in 2017 and 2018. The New York Times rounds up her 10 funniest SNL moments. (More Leslie Jones stories.)
