"The Squad" isn't united in its pick for president: On Wednesday Rep. Ayanna Pressley endorsed Elizabeth Warren. BuzzFeed reports there had been much speculation over where the "rising star" would direct her support, especially after the rest of the Squad—that would be Reps. Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez—endorsed Bernie Sanders in October. At the time, a rep said Pressley had "tremendous respect for her sisters-in-service" but would make the choice on her own. Says Pressley, also of Massachusetts, in a video: "I'm proud to call her my senator. I can't wait to call her our president."

BuzzFeed describes Pressley's endorsement as a particularly "coveted" one, "in part because she has strongly represented the Democratic Party's bedrock constituency in Congress: black women." The New York Times calls it Warren's "most high-profile congressional endorsement to this point," and a key one: She's behind Biden by nearly 30 percentage points among black voters.
