Aaron Carter is being widely mourned after the singer's death over the weekend at age 34. Among those publicly grieving his loss is Carter's older brother Nick, a member of the Backstreet Boys, who posted a series of pictures of the brothers together on Instagram. "My heart is broken. Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded. I have always held on to the hope that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed," Nick Carter wrote. "Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss, but the truth is that addiction and mental illness is the real villain here. ... I love you Chizz. Now you can finally have the peace you could never find here on earth….I love you baby brother."

As USA Today reports, Nick Carter and the Backstreet Boys also paid tribute to Aaron Carter at a Sunday night concert in London, dedicating the 2019 song "No Place" to him and projecting photos of him to a giant screen as Nick Carter teared up. More tributes:

  • Angel Conrad, Aaron Carter's twin sister: "To my twin… I loved you beyond measure," she posted on Instagram alongside her own series of pictures of the two of them. "You will be missed dearly.
