Speechwriter's Gal Has Roots in Reality TV
Ali Campoverdi appeared as a contestant on NBC's "For Love Or Money," Gawker reports.   (Maxim)

It’s apparently been quite the journey for Alejandra Campoverdi, the pinup girl who’s now dating hotshot White House speechwriter Jon Favreau, Gawker reports. The farm worker’s stepdaughter is now a deputy chief of staff’s assistant, having appeared in a reality TV show (oh, and that Maxim thing), played bit parts in two movies, and somehow ended up an Obama campaign intern.

Campoverdi, a 2001 Southern California graduate, settled on NBC’s For Love Or Money after being rejected from The Apprentice, then moved on to small roles in The Aviator and Constantine. She later took up charity work, and enrolled simultaneously in graduate programs at Harvard and Northwestern. After criticizing Obama in her student newspaper over immigration issues, she ended up working on his campaign—and the rest is history. (More Barack Obama stories.)
