Carrie Prejean has lost her Miss California crown for repeatedly breaching her pageant contract, Fox News reports. “This was a business decision,” says a pageant producer. Pageant head Donald Trump stood by the call: “I told Carrie she needed to get back to work and honor her contract with the Miss California Organization and I gave her the opportunity to do so. Unfortunately it just doesn’t look like it is going to happen.”

“We had hoped we would be able to forge a better working relationship," the producer adds. "However, it has become abundantly clear that Carrie has no desire to fulfill her obligations under our contract and work together.” Runner-up Tami Farrell will assume Miss California duties, while the reigning Miss USA and Miss Universe will help fulfill scheduled appearances.
