Countess Eyes $55M Divorce Settlement

Divorce expected to be finalized today

The contentious divorce between Swedish countess Marie Douglas-David and Internet mogul George David is expected to be settled today, reports the New York Post. Douglas-David will have to make do with about $55 million, and she won’t get the $16 million penthouse or $1.5 million earrings she wanted. The mudslinging proceedings first made headlines in March, when Douglas-David estimated her weekly expenses at at least $53,000. Elsewhere:

  • Is Britney Spears cheating on her rumored boyfriend/agent, Jason Trawick? She’s certainly been spending a lot of time with record producer Dallas Austin, a source tells the New York Post, but Austin’s rep says they’re just friends.
  • The Brits are all aflutter over a YouTube clip showing Prince William’s galpal—speaking! Though Kate Middleton has dated Wills for 8 years, many have never heard her voice, the Daily Mail reports. Watch the 11-second clip from an online marketing conference at left.
