Dennis Hopper’s daughter is the force behind his divorce proceedings, shuttling her heavily medicated father to lawyers in an effort to cut wife Victoria Duffy out of the will. “The poor guy has no idea what is going on,” a source tells the Huffington Post. Hopper’s marriage reportedly went downhill around the time of his last cancer diagnosis, but friends believe daughter Marin is behind all his recent public statements.
Marin, who lives rent-free in her father’s Venice compound and makes her living booking appearances for him, “has always hated Victoria,” the source says. “If she can get her father to reject Victoria on his deathbed, and get more money in the process, she'll be the happiest woman in Los Angeles.” Lawyers allowed Hopper to file divorce papers despite not allowing him to sign other paperwork in his medicated, reportedly delirious state. He has a 6-year-old daughter, Galen, with Duffy.
