Michael Douglas is officially old: The 65-year-old actor comes clean about the challenges of keeping up with his 40-year-old wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and the assist he gets from Viagra and Cialis. He also tells AARP The Magazine about his 31-year-old son, in jail on a drug charge; his upcoming film Wall Street 2; and his second shot at fatherhood. But the best parts of the interview have to do with Zeta-Jones:

  • On first spotting Zeta-Jones in The Mask of Zorro: "I just sat forward and said, ' Who is that?'"
  • His first pick-up line to his future wife: "I want to father your children." Her response? "I've heard a lot about you. It's nice to know it's all true. Good night."
  • On his 62-year-old parents-in-law: "I wasn't quite the son-in-law they'd envisioned. I do like to wind up Catherine's father and call him Pops."
  • On how he keeps up with Catherine: "At least in your head, your fire burns as brightly. Let's not kid ourselves. But God bless her that she likes older guys. And some wonderful enhancements have happened in the last few years—Viagra, Cialis—that can make us all feel younger."
  • On being an older dad: "I wince when I think I'll be close to 75 when my daughter is 16. I'm not going to be able to physically chase the boys away!"
