Frontrunner Lindsey Vonn missed out on another medal today after crashing in the super-combined competition. Vonn, hampered by a painful right shin, had been fastest in the morning downhill portion of the event, but she crashed on the slalom and lost her right ski. Mara Riesch of Germany won the gold, beating Julia Mancuso of the United States by 0.94 seconds. It's Mancuso's second silver in as many days. Sweden's Anja Paerson took the bronze.
