Rumors that wedding bells may soon be ringing for Leonardo DiCaprio and Israeli model Bar Refaeli have rung alarm bells for ultra-nationalists in her homeland. The head of a group that aims to "rescue" women from marriages to non-Jews has written to Rafaeli, pleading with her to ditch the actor for the sake of "future generations," the Los Angeles Times reports.

"Your grandmother and her grandmother did not dream that one of their descendants would one day remove the family's future generations from the Jewish people," writes Baruch Marzel. "Assimilation has forever been one of the enemies of the Jewish people." He stressed that it's nothing personal against DiCaprio, "who I have no doubt is a talented actor."
