Megan Fox’s “unceremonious dumping” from Transformers 3 marks a turning point in her career: Now that she’s leaving the franchise that made her a star, “will she become the next Angelina Jolie or the next Brigitte Nielsen?” wonders Mike Ryan. He offers a four-step plan to assure she goes the Jolie route, on PopEater:

  1. Star in a good film: She “needs to ditch the eye candy stigma, because it’s obvious that’s all Michael Bay really considered her," and prove she can act.

  1. Star in another blockbuster: Up next for Fox is a role in Jonah Hex, "about a Civil War-era mercenary based on a comic book my dad used to read (my dad is 65)"—not the kind of film that seems like it'll rake in hundreds of millions.
  2. Pull a Charlize Theron: There’s no denying that Fox is famous simply because she’s hot. If she uglies herself up like Theron did in Monster, maybe the world will start to see her as “more than just eyeball fodder.”
